Dilshan retained as skipper

The national cricket selectors yesterday retained dashing opening batsman Tillekeratne Dilshan as Sri Lanka's captain for the forthcoming home series against Australia.

Dilshan earlier led the Sri Lanka team for their Test and one day international series against England which concluded recently.

Sri Lanka will play two Twenty20 internationals, five one day internationals and three Test matches during their home series against Australia which begins on August 6.

Dilshan's appointment has been approved by the Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage. CD
