Sri Lanka under 21 hockey team for Hong Kong

The Sri Lankan boys’ under-21 hockey team, captained by Muditha
Bandara Marapana left the country last night to participate at the
International Hockey Tournament organized by the Asian Hockey Tournament
which will be worked off in Hong Kong, from July 23 to 31.
There will be nine countries participating in the tournament namely
Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Iran, China, Chinese Taipei, Oman, Uzbekistan,
Singapore, Thailand.
Muditha is an old boy of St. Thomas’ College, Matale and an attacking
forward player. He has his previous international experience in 2004
when he played as the Vice Captain of the Sri Lanka under-15 team at the
Nehru Junior International Championship, India.
He also has been a member of the Sri Lanka Schools’ squad since 2004
and was a player of the under-18 team which toured Bangladesh in 2005.
In 2008 he represented the under-21 national team and participated at
the Oman International Tournament.
