Ranuga youngest black belt
Eight years old Ranuga Liyanage, a student of St. Peter's College,
got a black belt first dan. With this outstanding achievement, he became
the youngest Peterite to win a black belt. Ranuga trains under D. L.
Laith 5th dan. under the guidance of his father, Desha Liyanage.
Table Tennis champs
At the All Island Inter-Schools Table Tennis team
Championships organized by Sri Lanka Schools Table Tennis
Association and held at S Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia, the
Under 16 Boys of Lyceum International School Nugegoda
emerged champions in the “F” Division, beating Ananda
College Colombo in the Final. The team was Coached by Indika
Prasad and Ms G. C. Kanchana was the Teacher in Charge.

Chance to become umpires
The Sri Lankan Cricket Umpires Association is calling for
applications from persons who intend to become cricket umpires.
Applicants should be in the age group of between 21 and 50 years.
