Sri Geeth, musical show will be held tomorrow July 16 at 6 pm at Eliphinstone Theater in order to commemorate Thalath Mehemud organized by Parani Geetha Rasika Sansadaya with performances by Chandra Sri, Suranji Shyamali and Kanchana Pieris.

This association was formed in 2005 by Chandra Sri Somasiri. "In 2005, we organized a Hindi song competition themed Sri Geeth at the auditorium of Basilika college, Ragama for the first time in Sri lanka.

There were many musical shows organized by this association. Last time Sri Geeth was held at Kadawatha and we were able to felicitate and help senior musician M M K Huck," Chandra Sri stated. Chandra Sri is a senior journalist at Silumina - Rasanduna paper and is dedicated to conserve old classical music and to promote it to the generation of today.

He is happy to say that his association has gained a silent popularity among Sri Lankan artistes today.

He hopes that Sri Geeth will be a successful musical show which could be enjoyed by everyone who loves music.
