Kiddies' Camp goes hunting for talent
Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo:
In an interesting twist, this month at Kiddies' Camp the children
will provide the entertainment instead of the adults. Having discovered
the wealth of talent amongst the young children who frequent the event,
the Kiddies' Camp organizers have put together a Talent Show on July 23
from 3 pm to 6 pm in the hopes of cultivating these gifts.
Children’s talent show |
The show is segmented into three categories - singing, dancing, art
and recitation, with each child being allowed to participate in one
category. The children will be given a minute each on stage to impress
the judges for the singing, dancing and recitation categories.
For recitation, children may choose to recite verse or prose. Those
singing and reciting may carry a paper with their song, verse or prose
in writing. To submit an entry for the art competition, children will be
provided with art supplies and will create their work of art unassisted.
The kids will not be permitted to bring their own art supplies into the
drawing area.
A friendly and extremely gifted panel of judges comprising Angela
Seneviratne, Koluu and Danu Innasithamby will be brought in to select a
winner for each category.
A prize will be awarded to each of the winners and every contestant
will receive a prize for participation. Enrollments are underway on a
first come first serve basis and children may sign up by contacting
Michelle Wahid on 2491016.
For children who would like to attend Kiddies' Camp but not take part
in the show, they may join in on the games that have been organized,
have fun on the bouncer, get a customized magic balloon made for them by
an artist, watch the Talent Show and enjoy the buffet of snacks on
offer. |
