Sri Lankan netballers beat Singapore-62/51

Sri Lanka recorded their maiden victory when they cruised to a convincing 62-51 victory over Singapore in their World Netball Championships ranking match worked off at the indoor stadium in Singapore yesterday. Sri Lanka got off to a flying start taking the opening quarter 15-9 and went on to clinch the second quarter 19-14.

They edged out their opponents 14-12 before going down in the fourth and final quarter 14-16. Sri Lanka will take on Botswana in another ranking fixture of the tournament at the same venue today.
