Court nod to interrogate suspect:

Colombo Additional Magistrate K Jayatileke yesteday granted permission to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) through a one month detention order, to interrogate a suspect who supported to insult the Sri Lankan government with the support of fake footages telecast over Channel 4.

Over 475 jeeps for Police stations

The Defence Ministry will provide all police stations with vehicles since many police stations have been badly affected by a severe shortage of vehicles for official duties. Under this initiative, 475 jeeps will be handed over to 475 police stations covering the entire country.
