Sylvestrians in massive victory

St Sylvester’s College, Kandy created another upset when they scored
a massive 232-run win over the strong Kingswood College in their schools
under-17 Division One cricket tournament match played at Open Prison
Camp grounds, Pallekele yesterday.
This was Sylvestrians third successive victory and are unbeaten
todate.
Highlight of the match was the tantalizing spell of spin bowling by
Dushan Malalasena who took 5 for 10 in 6 overs in which 3 were maidens.
The Sylvestrians batting first ran up a massive 315 for 5 wickets in 50
overs, scoring at the rate of over 6 runs per over.
Akalanka Dissanayake scored 63 with 10 fours while Sumedha
Dissanayake was the top scorer with 70 which had 12 fours. The
Kingswoodians chasing this huge total were dismissed for a paltry 86
with Dushan Malalasena running through the cream of the batting.
