British woman’s life destroyed by MP
She ‘was invited’ to join him on the balcony:
UK: A 29-year-old Westminster lobbyist, Annabelle Fuller, has claimed
that the Tory MP’s vicious” reaction has destroyed her life, making her
suicidal. Earlier this June, Andrew Bridgen, the Tory MP for North West
Leicestershire, was arrested when a security guard at his Westminster
block called the police. Fuller said, “I never wanted things to get this
far…I just want this all to go away.” The case, however, was dropped
later as Fuller concurred that her behaviour could have been flirting.
Bridgen never accepted the allegations and even went far, saying he
was going to take legal actions against those who had made “these
falsehoods” public. All this made Fuller waive her right to anonymity
and describe the incident. She described meeting with Bridgen in a West
End pub, while she was drunk. She claimed that he never revealed himself
as being an MP. Civil servant Edward Green, whom Fuller already knew,
joined them later and Bridgen then invited them to his Westminster flat.
She claimed that Bridgen had invited her to join him on the balcony,
adding that she had to walk through his bedroom to get there, and it was
where he had groped her.
Bridgen has rejected the allegations, considering them “ludicrous”
and “unsubstantiated.”
