Media reports rebutted

The Central Cultural Fund yesterday denied media reports that sanitary facilities are not available to the people visiting the Sigiriya World Heritage Site.

Director General Prof Nimal De Silva said sanitary facilities have been enhanced for the benefit of the people. "The Central Cultural Fund has drawn up a plan to provide facilities for visitors," he said.

The Fund opened a new counter to issue tickets for entrants. The CCF has also taken action to provide a new pamphlet for tourists, he said.
