Private bus fares increased

Private bus fares will be increased by 7.6 percent from July 1. The minimum private bus fare of Rs 6 will be increased to Rs 7, Private Transport Services Minister C B Ratnayake said.

Private bus fares have been revised under the National Policy on bus fares of the National Transport Commission, the minister added.Minster Ratnayake was addressing a press briefing at the Private Transport Services Ministry yesterday. Meanwhile, the CTB will also increase its fares from mext month, the Transport Commission said.
