GOH hosts Jaffna Food Festival

The Grand Oriental Hotel (GOH) will host an authentic Jaffna Food
Festival from June 23 to the 26 at the ‘Harbour Room’ where guests will
be awed by an overview of Colombo’s finest scenery and bask in the
euphoric atmosphere of Jaffna’s culture.
The festival will include a wide variety of Jaffna cuisine which is
famous for its unique flavour and taste.
Specially prepared Jaffna curry powder and ingredients exclusive to
the northern province will be used to enhance the typical everyday
parripu and chicken curry diet, into a variety of delightful recipes -
ranging from chicken kolambu, odiyal kool to steaming hot Jaffna crab
curry.

For the seafood lovers, the Jaffna Food Festival is certainly an
event you would not want to miss, as the dishes will be prepared to
perfection using traditional recipes from Jaffna.
GOH Public Relations Executive Ishanki Gunawardena says that with the
dawn of peace bringing in more people to the city for dining and
entertainment, the Jaffna Food Festival will be an occasion to sample
something different.
