Green Tea takes over MLH

Usually and mostly one would hear only hear “you should ‘drink’ green
tea, it’s very good for your health”, but never would have heard someone
telling - “have you ‘eaten’ this with green tea”? I’m sure you wouldn’t
have.
It was new to my ears as well, till Mount Lavinia Hotel launched the
“It’s all about Green Tea” promotion. This new treat is wholesomely and
100 percent healthy. I mean one could eat and drink anything they
desired without having to worry whether they will add on any extra fat
because of the special ingredient that is added in the course and
drinks.
The secret ingredient that is being talked about now, among all Green
Tea fans is the “Matcha” powder. Matcha Green Tea powder (from Japan) is
used for drinking as well as a cooking ingredient in any recipe.
Matcha is known for many health benefits and is rich in nutrients,
antioxidants, fiber and chlorophyll. It is sugar free and is an ideal
drink for people who are watching their sugar level and also for
diabetic patients.

The Green Tea menu served at MLH is unique. From starters to soups to
the main course and to the dessert its all green and healthy. Even the
cocktails and mocktails become a healthy drink with the Matcha powder.
One of my favourite dishes out of the whole course was the Decadent
Green Tea Cheescake with bittersweet chocolate curls (a must try).
So all the health conscious people who live on Green Tea, well then
you should try out the Green Tea course at MLH which is going on till
June 19 (Sunday) and be amazed of what Chef Justin Dingle and team can
do with one special ingredient. |
