Ranaviru Sevana win in blind cricket

The current champions of cricket for the blind in Sri Lanka, Ranaviru Sevana beat the Combined Universities team by 133 runs in their match played at the Sri Jayawardenapura University grounds recently.

Taking first lease of the wicket, Ranaviru Sevana scored 212 for 8 in their allotted 30 overs with Senaratne top scoring with 48.

Upul Chandana captured 2 wickets for 9 runs. In reply, the campus players crumbled for only 79 runs in 17 overs. Abeyratne and Ravindra captured 2 wickets each for Ranaviru Sevana.

The match was sponsored by Ms. MicroMax; Leonard Cheshire Disability Centre; Servene Travels and the Sri Jayawardenapura Visually Handicapped Welfare Society.
