Coconut sapling distribution

The Ginigathena North Rural Development Society in collaboration with the Coconut Development Board will distribute 2,600 coconut saplings among the residents of the Ginigathena area at Abhinawarama temple today to mark the 2600th Sambuddhathva Jayanthi.

As a coconut sapling bears fruit in three and half years, the persons who plant such coconut saplings in their home gardens will be able not only to utilize such coconuts for their home consumption but also to get an economic advantage.
