Singha SC shot out for 27

Sportec Sports Club, Matara qualified for the quarter finals of the Inter-Club Division III cricket tournament when they won their match against Singha Sports Club, Ambalangoda by 155 runs at the Uyanwatta Stadium on Sunday.

Put into bat after a delayed start which permitted 36 overs per side. Sportec SC were dismissed for 182 in 33.3 overs. Skipper Charith Palliyage scored 51. Opener Krishanka Rangana scored a blistering 30 runs with five fours and a six. C. Sudaraka and R. Vidyarathna captured three wickets each. Singha Sports Club put on a dismal batting performance with no batsman getting into double figures. Singha SC was shot out for a merger 27 runs in just 9.3 overs. Left arm leg spinner Pryantha Uyanahewa took his third consecutive five wicket haul capturing six wickets for 6 runs, Nadun Tharanga 3/10 and Dulan Priyashantha 1/5 too were among the wickets.

Sportec SC 182 in 33.3 overs (Charith Palliyage 51, Krishanka Rangana 30, Dulan Priyashantha 22, Vihanga Kalhara 14, C. Sudaraka 3/12, R. Vidyarathna 3/33, L. Ranasingha 2/22.

Singha SC 27 in 9.3 overs (Priyantha Uyanahewa 6/06, Nadun Tharanga 3/10, Dulan Priyashantha 1/05).
