New theatre to ‘Lite’ the silver screen

Living far away from the world renowned production houses, Sri Lankan
movie lovers had to face the problem of watching a movie in theatres a
month or more after its global release. Dismayed fans had been
frantically browsing newspapers or keeping tabs on local cinemas trying
to find out exactly when their favourite movies will hit local wide
screens.

Luckily they do not have to wait long because their prayers have been
answered. The country’s newest cinema hall, Liberty Lite, promises to
bring the newest and latest movies to the local moviegoers.
Located next to Liberty cinema, Liberty Lite packs around 137
audiences and is aimed at quenching the thirst of English and Hindi
movie buffs.
Comfortable seating arrangements, air conditioned setting, roomy
environment and CTS digital, Dolby SRS sound system makes Liberty Lite
the hub of modern technology. The new cinema is a joint venture of
Liberty Cinema Pvt Ltd and Movie Works Pvt.Ltd.Tied up with three big
production houses: DreamWorks, Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures,
the Liberty Lite team ensures that they can bring down the latest movies
releases.
They are currently screening Fast and Furious 5 (Fast Five) -the
latest chapter of the Fast and Furious series.
