CIMA focuses on challenges in business leadership
The CIMA Business Leaders Summit 2011 will take place at the Cinnamon
Grand Colombo from June 21 and 22. The two-day flagship event in the
CIMA calendar is expected to attract over 500 diverse groups of
corporates, business leaders and professionals. The theme of the summit
- changing challenge-challenging change - is rightly coined to draw
focus what the business leaders are up against.
Given such speed of change, the challenges faced by individuals,
businesses and nations push us to collectively challenge the changes
that we have already been made to survive.
The best example in the most recent times is the story of iPad.
Within a year of the launch of the iPad, Apple themselves had to
challenge their own product, which one would have thought to be a break
through innovation.
It is in this background we have sought international and local
speakers to share their thoughts from individual to a nation how
survival is possible by challenging changes in the changing challenge
environment
The summit will feature a lively mix of both local and global
personalities from the corporate world. Patricia Gallardo Director of
CSR and Sustainability Shangri-La International Hotel Management, Ltd.
Hongkong will deliver the Keynote speech at the inauguration. Power and
Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka will start the conference
sessions with the keynote address on June 22, the second day of the
summit.
