CID takes over probe

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the investigations into the detained Canada- bound container with several printed propaganda material of the LTTE, a senior police officer told the Daily News yesterday.

A special senior police team of the CID have been deployed to conduct investigations into the container load of propaganda material, the officer said. According to investigations several cartons of LTTE material had come to the Colombo Port via Chennai.
