Nintavur hospital staff felicitated

The medical profession is a noble one which has to be performed with dedication and sacrifice without any communal bias, said Health, Indigenous Medicine, Sports and Information Technology Eastern Provincial Minister M S Subair. He participated as Chief Guest at a felicitation ceremony at the Auditorium of the hospital organized by the Nintavur Hospital Development Society to mark its achievement in obtaining the National Health Excellence Award 2009-2010.

Digamadulla District Member of Parliament M C M Faizal Cassim participated as special guest while the Ministry (EP) Secretary U L A Azeez and Kalmunai Health Services Regional Director M S Ibralebbe participated as guests of honour at this ceremony which was presided over by the Vice President of the Hospital Development Society A Nazeer Ahamed. "the employees of this hospital worked sincerely and honestly with a sense of responsibility and devotion, and these qualities have paved way for them to achieve the National Health Excellence Award 2009-2010," he said. This reward is given for allegiance, fidelity and hardwork of the employees of this hospital and the entire Eastern Province is elated over this, he added.

Minister Subair opened a Hospital Park in memory of the late HDS Member M A M Ameen who contributed to the hospital's development.

Minister Subair added that the health sector in the Eastern Province is rapidly progressing in spite of the various challenges. This was made possible due to the tireless efforts of the medical personnel and their selfless services towards the masses.
