Vidyartha rout Annites - 136/0

Vidyartha College, Kandy notched up the season's highest score in schools rugby this year when they trounced St Anne's College by 136 points (8 goals, 16 tries) to nil in their schools under 19 division one segment B rugby tournament match played at Maliyadeva College grounds, Kurunegala yesterday. At half time Vidyartha led 63-0. This was Annites' second century defeat for the season as they earlier lost to St Sylvester's 124-0.

Two Vidyartha ruggerites who ran amok in this match No 8 Jasan Dissanayake (8 tries) and centre Dhanushka Talwatte (7 tries). Both performed the hat-trick.

The other try scorers were winger Kasun Bandara (5 tries) lock Lahiru Ratnadivakara (2 tries), lock Ayesh Gallahawela (1 try), and winger Supun Dissanayake (1 try).

No 8 Jason Dissanayake goalled 4 tries and scrum half Chamath Liyanage added the extra points to four ties.

This is Vidyartha's fifth successive wins for the season and are unbeaten to-date.
