Peterites in resounding 42-10 win over Antonians

Defending champions St. Peter’s College powered their way to an emphatic 42 points to 10 points victory over St. Anthony’s College in their Singer inter school under 19 Division One League rugby tournament match worked off at Bambalapitiya yesterday.

The Peterites also retained the Rectors Trophy for the second successive year while collecting their points from six goals after having led 21-10 at half time. The Antonians responded with one goal and one try.

Dynamic centre three quarter Danushka Ranjan led the way with four brilliant tries and brought his overall tally to 18 tries in the current season. In addition winger Bhanuka Peiris and skipper Bhanuka Nanayakkara also scored a try each.

Fly half Dulaj Perera converted four tries and scrum half Rizwan Meedin converted one try.
