Navy rescues drowning couple

Naval personnel attached to Naval Deployment Colombo South in Wellawatte rescued a young couple who were drowning in the sea off Bambalapitiya on May 12 evening.

It is suspected that the couple had attempted to commit suicide.

The couple was rushed to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital and is now in a stable condition.
