Motorcyclist succumbs to injuries

A motorcyclist injured on a private bus-motor cycle collision near the 8th km post on the Kesbewa-Bandaragama road succumbed to his injuries in admission to the Kalubowila hospital on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Amal Indranath Peduruhewa (41) of Jalthara, Hanwella.

The alleged driver taken into police custody was due to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate yesterday. Piliyandala Police are investigating.
