'Utilize foreign funds to meet development targets'

Foreign assistance is coming into the country as its economy improves. Therefore, each Ministry should be committed to take the country towards required development targets utilizing foreign assistance within the next six years, said Senior Minister Sarath Amunugama recently. He was speaking at the ceremony held at Hataraliyadda Junior School auditorium to distribute information technology equipment to students.

Minister Amunugama added that foreign nations assess Sri Lanka's education and health levels prior to approving assistance.

They have already accepted that this country's education level is fast improving, he said. The Principal of the College Manjula Tennakone also addressed the gathering.
