Man nabbed for stealing Rs 2.5 m from dad

A man who stole Rs 2.5 million from his father was arrested in a hotel in Kadawata yesterday, Police said.

The Police said the man had stolen the money kept in his father’s house at Katugastota and had spent Rs 6,000.

The Police said the man’s father had kept the money at home after selling a van. The suspect’s whereabouts had been given to the Police by his girlfriend.
