Transport for Peliyagoda fish trade centre

Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Rajitha Senaratne has taken measures to provide transport facilities to customers coming to the Peliyagoda Fish Trade Centre.

According to the Fisheries Ministry, it had provided a bus in collaboration with the Road Transport Authority.

This bus travels from Peliyagoda town to the fish market complex operating within every five minutes.

Fisheries Minister Rajitha Senaratne took part in the first tour with the passengers and thereafter he checked identity cards of the fish stall owners. Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry's Secretary Dr Damitha de Soysa, Ceylon Fisheries Corporation's (CFC) Chairman Maheel Senaratne and National Aquaculture Development Authority's (NAQDA) Chairman Jayantha Chandrasoma also participated.
