Controversial Darusman Report:
Workshop for local, foreign public officers

The Ministers' Secretaries Union will hold a series of workshops for
local and foreign public officers to make them aware about the
controversial Darusman Report, Traditional Industries and Small
Enterprise Development Deputy Minister and Ministers' Secretaries Union
coordinator Weerakumara Dissanayake said.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Traditional Industries and Small
Enterprise Development Ministry auditorium yesterday, he pointed out
that the Union has always been doing everything in its power for the
benefit of the country.
Dissanayake pointed out that they worked hard during the war period
and later to create peace in Sri Lanka.
The first workshop will be on May 20 at 9.30 am at the Mahaweli
Centre under the patronage of Western Province Chief Minister Prasanna
Ranatunga. The second workshop will be held with the participation of
North Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayaka on June
6 at 9.30 am at the North Central Provincial Council auditorium.
These workshops will continue till August 19 covering eight
provinces.
The workshop will have two lectures. The first lecture will be by
Presidential adviser on Economic Affairs Dr Ranjith Bandara on 'public
servants and the public'.
The second will be by Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise
Development Deputy Minister Weerakumara Dissanayake on 'public
servants', development and challenges for the country's 'future'.
Ministers' Secretaries Union Secretary Pradeshiya Sabha Member Ajith
Jayasundara was also present. |
