Korean leaders will be encouraged to refute the controversial
Darusman report, said Korean Chief Mahayana Sanghanayake Saktasan Thera,
when he called on Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratna at the Prime Minister’s
office Wednesday.
The Korean Mahanayake vehemently refuted the accusations in the
report and assured that a positive dialogue will be created among
Koreans on Sri Lanka. He added that top level Korean investors will
arrive in Sri Lanka to embark on mega scale investment projects.
A Korean investment zone will also be established in the future in
Sri Lanka, he said. He pointed out the timely need to translate
Tripitaka into Korean language with the assistance of Sri Lankan
buddhist monks.
He will also coordinate the renovation of several buddhist temples in
Sri Lanka to mark the 2600th Sambuddathva Jayanthi. |
