May Day rallies:
IGP calls for peaceful processions
Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasuriya
yesterday appealed to those participating in May Day rallies to
conduct processions in a peaceful manner without violating the law.
The IGP also directed the party leaders to advice their supporters
to conduct peaceful processions along the main roads.
