LPL best performance in history

Lanka Phosphate Ltd.(LPL) recorded an excellent performance with the highest sale of 49,679 mt., the highest production of 47,779mt, the highest revenue of Rs. 394 million and the highest profit of Rs. 128 million in the history for the financial year 2010-2011.

Lanka Phosphate Ltd., is a fully government institution coming under the Ministry of Enterprise Development and State Resources Minister Dayasritha Tissera.

The revived strategies adopted by Chairman Wellala Bandula and the Board of Directors in marketing, finance and production have been instrumental in bringing about changes which greatly contributed in making the year 2010-2011, the best year in the company's history of 35 years.

Phosphate deposits at Eppawala are considred to be some of the richest and most unique Phosphate deposits in the world.
