Mercedes Benz golf on Saturday

Over 70 entries has been received for the annual Mercedes Benz Trophy golf championship organised by DIMO the local agents for Mercedes Benz and the Victoria Golf and Country Resort which will be worked off at the 18 hole at Rajawella on Saturday commencing at 7.30 a.m.

This will be a single round stableford golf championship worked off in different categories in keeping with the handicaps of the golfers.

There will be six events for Men and one for Ladies and all winners and runners up will be awarded with trophies and they will be eligible to play in the Asian Golf Championship of this tournament which will be held in Australia later this year.

Since this is a Mercedes Benz Golf Championship and it will be open to only owners of Mercedes Benz vehicles. Thus an elite group of golfers will participate in this championship which is held at the Victoria Golf Course for the second time.

Entries for this championship has been very encouraging though it had been restricted to the owners of Mercedes Benz which proved the point that this elite group are golfers as well.

Australian born General Manager Errol Johnston said that the course will be full of excitement and the golfers will find it tough and will have to use their skills.
