Controversial Darusman report:

Certain parties following double standards

Certain political parties in the country are following double standards when responding to the controversial Darusman report on alleged accountability issues in Sri Lanka, Construction Engineering, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa said. At a ceremony to launch the official website on State Engineering Corporation on Tuesday, Minister Weerawansa said that these political parties who rejected the report are attempting to shift the blame on the government.

The Minister also questioned as to whose agenda these political parties were following in their double standards with regarding to this report.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has liberated our country from over 30 years of war and he did not fall prey to international pressures during the war.

Therefore the report has made false allegations against the Sri Lanka.

According to the controversial Darusman report some foreign media are trying to portray a bad picture of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka have to face this problem together as one nation, the Minister asserted.
