Former Bibile OIC files FR application against DIG

Former Bibila Police OIC filed a fundamental rights application before the Supreme Court stating that his rights had been violated by DIG Lalith Jayasinghe in not reinstating him in service.

filing the fundamental rights application before the Supreme Court former Bibila Police OIC Sub Inspector R S P K Neranjan Sampayo stated that he was given a charge sheet in connection with an incident on May 08, 2002 and he was interdicted.

He stated in the application that the charge sheet stated that Sampayo did not take action against a police officer following a complaint made by Vijith Vijithamuni Soyza. He added that according to the complaint made by Vijithamuni Soyza to the Police, a Police officer had scolded him on May 8, 2002.
