Superb double by Jeewan

Skipper Jeewan Mendis hit a fighting century and captured six wickets for 37 to spearhead Tamil Union to a first innings victory over Saracens CC in their rain hit SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at the P. Saravanamuttu Oval yesterday.

Tamil Union: 347 for 5 decl and 40 for 2 (D. Rajakaruna 29 n.o). Saracens CC: 139 (S. Kamileen 73, R. Rathika 29, S. Lakmal 2 for 40, S. Serasinghe 2 for 28, J. Mendis 6 for 37).

Malinda takes 7/48

Sri Lanka discard spinner Malinda Pushpakumara captured seven wickets for 48 to give the defending champions Chilaw Marians CC a morale boosting first innings victory over Baduraliya CC in their rain hit SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at Katunayake yesterday.

Easy for Ragama CC

Three splendid half centuries from Rumesh Buddhika, Nayana Fernando and Duminda Perera guided Ragama CC to an easy first innings victory over Lankan CC in their rain hit SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at Moratuwa yesterday.

Opening bowler Amila Perera snapped up five wickets for 56 as Panadura CC cruised to a first innings victory over Antonians SC in their rain hit SLC Premier League Tier 'B' cricket tournament match which concluded at Panadura yesterday.
