Health Minister Moscow bound

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena will be leaving for Moscow today to participate in the First Global Ministerial Conference on Healthy Lifestyle and Non-Communicable Diseases to be held in Moscow from April 28 to 29.

This conference is due to be attended by Health Minister and officials from 40 countries and the Health Minister will speak at the first session of the conference.

The Minister will take the opportunity to make other countries aware of the action taken by the Sri Lankan government to control the spread of non-communicable diseases.

This conference will also be attended by representatives of UN member countries in addition to the Health Minister and officials.
