Pirith at Agrarian Service Centres today

The Agrarian Services and Wildlife Ministry will hold an all night Pirith chanting ceremony at all Agrarian Service Centres today to commemorate the 2600th Sambuddathva Jayanthi, a ministry spokesman said.

There are 556 Agrarian Service Centres in the country. The Pirith chanting ceremony will commence at all Agrarian Service Centres at the same time under the guidance of Wildlife Minister S M Chandrasena, he said.

The ministry has organized these ceremonies to bless the President, government and the country, the spokesman said.

The spokesman said the ceremony is also being held to bless soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
