Credit to private sector increases

Credit to the private sector has been increased by 29.7 percent in February, latest data from the Central Bank said.

Credit to the private sector up to February stands at Rs 1,571 billion and it was Rs 1,530.4 billion a month ago. Net credit to the government stands at Rs 645.6 billion up to February.

Credit to corporations stands at 130.3 billion in February showing a 44.6 percent annual growth. This was Rs 133.7 billion in January, the Central Bank data said.
