Government condemns Libya attacks

The Government will never endorse the attacks on Libya since all have to respect the independence and sovereignty of any country, Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.

The Minister addressing the media at the weekly Cabinet briefing said the Government condemns such attacks which are carried out under the guise of protecting civilians.

Rambukwella said that no country or organization has the rights to intervene in the internal matters of another sovereign country.

"Moreover, the United Nations has approved only to look into the civilian related matters and improve their safety," the Minister said.
