Customs - cricket champions

The Customs Sports Club who participated in the Division III cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket, emerged champions in the very first year Customs took part in this tournament as the only unbeaten team.

The Customs team was captained by Manoj Samarasekera and Vice Captain was Achala Jayalath.

In the final round Customs beat Maya SC, Kegalle, Old Aloysius SC, Ratnapura and Naula SC, Matale. Beat Liberty CC by four wickets at the quarter finals and beat Wellassa CC by four wickets in the semifinals.

Customs beat Singhe SC, Ambalangoda by eight wickets at the Finals.

Final results are- Singhe SC all out for 146 in 28.3 overs. Lahiru Ashan 38, H Premasiri 21, Supun Priyanga 20. Dileepa Gayashan 3 for 38, Manoj Samarasekera 2 for 29, Sohan Rangika 2 for 32.

Customs SC 151 for 1 wicket in 17.3 overs. Sohan Rangika 44, five fours and one six, Chalaka Bogoda 35 n.o., Sahan Hettiarachchi 49 n.o.
