Cheers!

All parties require refreshments. It is not something that we could pretend to ignore. You are the host and you are planning to throw a big party. You have got the guest list ticked and rechecked, you have ordered the food, hired a DJ until finally you realize that something is missing. And then the dreaded question pops up: ‘What will they drink?’ you don’t know where to start.

When it comes to party drinks, it depends very much on the age group. You can serve fun drinks for non-drinkers or for a children’s party. Whatever the occasion might be, you might want to serve your guests something unusual to make your party a memorable event. One that would be talked about for weeks. Cater the birthday party drinks to fit the occasion, may it be a Sweet Sixteen, or going on fifty. Consider how the colours should blend in. A bowl of pink punch will be striking against pink party decoration, or a colour that goes in contrast, like black, for a gothic themed party. Frizzy, pink drinks will be highly appealing for a party of young girls. Do not let the flavours clash.

Punch remains among the most commonly chosen popular party drinks. If you want to introduce something that you think your guests have never tried, ice-cream cocktail would work marvellously. They can also be served as desserts. Skip the alcohol if it is a kiddie’s party.

Things that will come in handy for your drinks preparations are a table, tablecloth, centre piece, drink necessities and accessories. Set up the drinks table away from the dance floor. It should occupy an area without taking up space for mingling. Arrange your glasses in the shape of a themed figure. A heart shape, for example, for a Valentines Day party.

Select a table cloth which is dark in colour a stand out from the rest of your house. Besides, a darker colour will hide any spills. When it comes to spills dab at it. Not rub. In addition keep a space in the table for the centre piece.

It could be a punch bowl or an ice carving. You can also decorate your centre piece. Sugar icing skulls for A day of the Dead theme, perhaps. Remember to arrange drink necessities nearby like buckets of ice cubes, cups and glasses and drink mixers. In the end you will be a proud host of one of the most fabulous parties ever. Cheers!!!
