The Colombo Stock Market closed on a negative note at the end of trading yesterday.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) closed at 7156 points moving down by 28 points while Milanka Price Index (MPI) closed at 6634 points moving down by 56 points. The total turnover for the day was healthy Rs 2.6 billion.

The top gainers were Central Finance, Ceylon Cold Stores, James Finlay. The top losers were Colombo Pharmacies, Watapotha and Bairaha farms.

The highest contribution of Rs 1.5 billion was came from Central Finance followed by Hayleys, Pan Asia with one crossing each and Bukit Darah with two crossings. (SJ)
