Nugegoda Jathikapola nearing completion

The Nugegoda Jathikapola construction is nearing completion and it would be vested in the people before the Sinhala and Hindu New year, said Former IGP Chandra Fernando.

He said this trade complex will house pavement hawkers and the vendors at the Nugegoda fair.

Construction is conducted under the close supervision of Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa.

According to Fernando, this complex has modern facilities and special access road would be constructed from Nugegoda Railway Station to the Jathikapola.

Eighty percent of the construction of the building complex has been completed. Fernando added that trade stalls have been allocated to every vendor in the Nugegoda town.

He added that an overhead bridge connecting the Jathikapola and Nugegoda Supermarket will also be constructed.
