RICS (UK) recognizes ORCL Projects DGM:
Elmo Fernando receives chartered designation
DGM Projects- ORCL, W B Elmo F J Fernando was awarded the Chartered
Designation in Facilities Management by the Facilities Management
Faculty of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (UK) recently.

Fernando is currently employed as DGM Projects for Overseas Realty
Ceylon PLC, in charge of Project Management in Havelock City Project,
which is a mega mixed development project in the country. He holds
Chartered Designations in Engineering and Quantity Surveying with and as
a Fellow Member of Institute of Engineers, Australia, Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors (RICS-UK), Institute of Quantity Surveyors (SL) and
of the American Society of Civil Engineers and corporate member of the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK.
He has also served in the International and Asia Pacific Faculty
Boards of RICS in Facilities Management representing Asia from 2001 to
2009 and he was appointed by University of Moratuwa as an External
Examiner for BSc (Hons) Degree Courses in Quantity Surveying and
Facilities Management.
He started the FM career with World Trade Centre in 1996 when he took
over Facilities Management of Twin Towers upon completion of his Project
Management assignment during construction of the World Trade Centre. |
