UNP marred by internal fighting

Deputy Environment Minister Abdul Cader said that not only the Ranil-Sajith conflict but also a Karu-Ravi conflict is also brewing in the United National Party and as the Leaders of the UNP are unable to come to a compromise it is a joke to believe that they can maintain the country's unity under a UNP administration.

The Deputy Minister further said the UNP had now forgotten their responsibilities and the party was running today according to the wishes and aspiration of a few of its leaders.

The Deputy Minister added that he was quite sure that the country would march forward for development defeating all the hostilities and impediments under President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the President was able to wipe out 30 years of terrorism from the land.
