Health Sector Development project:

WB support for second stage

The World Bank has pledged its fullest support with funds for the second stage of the Health Sector Development Project to be inaugurated in 2012.

This assurance was given by the new World Bank Director for Sri Lanka and the Maldives Diarietou Gaye.

Gaye gave this assurance at discussions held with Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena at the Ministry on February 25.

The first stage of the Health Sector Development Project has been completed. Minister Sirisena said that the Health Ministry has achieved many successes so far.
