Papare, papare band to play again

Apropos the article appeared in the Dialy News on Monday titled 'ICC must allow papare, papare bands'.

Sri Lanka Cricket has informed the public and the media personnel that musical instruments including Papare, Papare bands and flags with poles will be allowed at all ICC World Cup venues during matches in future.

Sri Lanka Cricket appeal to their supporters-cricket fans to be at all World Cup venues during the ICC World Cup 2011. Restricted items during the World Cup 2011 matches are all kinds of firearms, including toy guns of any type. Explosives- fire crackers. Sharp materials like knife, metal, wooden club or any other metal made sharp edged materials Glass bottles and tin cans with or without drinks, any kind of stones or hard items which could be used as throwing missiles, alcohol, illegal drugs and narcotics. All kinds of bamboo, metal sticks, mace and gas containers, any flags other than the national flag of participating countries, banners, placards, posters displaying discriminatory remarks on racial, religious and ethnic.

Laser pointers and mirrors, professional video cameras and any other items that security personnel at entry points considers dangerous to be carried into the stadiums.
