The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) in
collaboration with the Cambridge University (ESOL), is now ready to make
available an international qualification in Sri Lanka.
The Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE)
will commence on February 27. The Cambridge ICFE is an internationally
recognized course consisting of 75 percent online learning with a 25
percent lecturer contact component for aspiring professionals to take
them to greater heights in their career. This blended learning brings
candidates the combined advantages of the convenience of an online
program and the hands-on benefits of classroom learning. It is poised to
have a great impact in the field of finance and accounting and validates
first-rate English language skills and the ability to converse with
finance and accounting professionals throughout the international
business community.
A team of six English language lecturers from leading universities in
the country having a wealth of experience in corporate training and
skills development will conduct the classroom sessions. The British
Council with whom ICASL is in partnership for conducting IELTS has once
again joined hands together in delivering this course with the Cambridge
ICFE exams conducted by them.
Under the guidance of the Country Examinations Manager, Kishore Roy
and master training facilitated by Examiner Professional Support
Manager, Philip Bebb have provided a comprehensive teacher training
program that has made all the ICASL lecturers well equipped with the
mastery of necessary skills to launch the course on February 27.
