Architect 2011 commences today

SLIA officials at the press conference to announce Architect 2011.

The Annual Session of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) 'Architect 2011' takes place in Colombo from the February 23 to 27.

The 2011 theme Architecture for All, City + Community explores aspects of the architects' role in national development including creating the city for the community and the new issues confronting the architect in fulfilling this task.

The Annual Session is the celebration of the architectural profession, where once a year we create a platform for architects, the construction trade, industry and public to interact with one another. Our main objective is to create a momentum in the construction industry so that it benefits those who are in the industry as well as the public, said SLIA President Archt. Chandana Edirisuriya.
