Netherlands to help flood victims

According to sources, a discussion was held between Minister Sirisena
and the Netherlands' Ambassador in connection with re-building of
villages hit by the recent floods.
During the discussion, the Ambassador stated that the Netherlands
would assist Sri Lankan Government to rehabilitate flood victims in the
North and East. She admired the Government's strategy formulated to
upgrade the living standards of flood victims.
Minister Sirisena thanked the Ambassador for the assistance provided
to develop Hambantota and Nuwara Eliya hospitals.
The Ambassador expressed her willingness to provide medical equipment
to the hospitals. |
